Tomorrow is Wesley's last day of preschool! I can't believe how much time flies! This year, he was in the 18 month old class, and attended school 2 mornings a week. Wesley was 22 month when he started school. Because of his late birthday, he had to be in a younger class (they had to be 2 by Sept 1st to be in the 2 year old class, his birthday is Nov 11th). The first few weeks of school, Wesley cried and cried. One of the teachers said " He might cry until Christmas break!" They were so patient with him through this stage and now, he can't wait to get out of the van during car line. As soon as he gets out he waves " Bye Mommy!" and runs in to school.
We decided to put him in the 3 year old class next year. The great thing is, he'll be in the same class as our neighbor's daughter. He'll be the youngest in the class, but the director seems to think he can handle it. We have to have him potty trained by Sept, which I think is fine, because after his surgery we are going to switch to only underwear.
Here are two pictures to compare how much he has grown these past few months. The blue shirt picture was taken on his first day of school. The green shirt picture was taken yesterday right before he went to school. (and yes, I must have a thing for TCP striped Polo's...didn't plan that...lol) He recently just got his hair cut too and it makes him look so much older (especially since the lady took off more than I wanted her to!).
We have a lot of stuff planned this summer with our playgroup, and we have also found some high school girls (they are sisters) that are looking to babysit this summer. So, our little playgroup (there is 3 of us) decided to hire these 2 girls two mornings a week, so that we would have some time to run errands, and clean the house. We are going to rotate houses, so the kids and the two baby sitters stay at a different house each time. Poor things will have 3 two year olds to run after, but it will give us a much needed break, and the kids a chance to play. They are great girls, and are excited to have a steady job this summer. We have a few trips to FL planned, and a trip to South Georgia. We are going to be busy, but I am looking forward to it!
