We just got back from a family reunion in Lake Cumberland, KY. It was a nice trip even though the weather was a bit rainy on most days. We had a good time visiting with family, and enjoying the Lake. I would upload some pictures here, but for some reason Blogger keeps giving me problems, and it's just easier to have them all on our Kodak site. They are all on there!
Wednesday and Thursday we all relaxed and hung out. We were tired from the trip, and we just felt like hanging around and visiting. There was a "sadness" in the air the whole time because we were missing a big part of our family. My Aunt and Uncle were unable to come because my Uncle is very sick with terminal cancer. We missed them and their kids dearly....and it just wasn't the same with out them.
Friday we decided to go rafting, and well....that trip was a bust. Our rafting time was at 3:00, and we arrived at 2:45. We had to wait for other people who were scheduled for the 3:00 trip....they were late...and not ready to leave....then watch a safety video, then drive an hour to the rafting place. I was worried because I left my Mom with only two bottles. We were about to get into the water at5pm, and then our raft busted as the man was pulling out of the trailer.....so we just asked him to take us home!
Saturday we had a day on the lake. We fished, tubed and boated up and down the water. The weather was so pretty, and it was a lot of fun spending time with everyone.
